3 seasons in and the guards and wrap look great. I like the black color on the pontoons versus the uncovered aluminum but that's just a subjective cosmetic opinion. Performance wise they work exactly as advertised. I'd recommend them.
That's odd. My switch is the exact opposite. When I toggle to "Auto" the bilge pump runs continuously and when I switch it to "Bilge" it runs on Auto. mAybe they installed my switch upside down at the factory.
I have a 2018 22SSBXP with SPS hull. Same boat.
Congratulations! Your family is going o LOVE this setup. Good call on the elevated helm-I wish that I had done that, its the only option that I regret passing on. Glad you went for it.
Question on the starboard bow cooler:I dont recall that as an option. I believe that they had a...
Mine look like new after 2 seasons in salt water. My boat it in the water, tied to my dock all season and they still look good. If we travel and don't use the boat for a few weeks, we get some growth on the outside toon's guard (away from dock) but it comes off easily.
I really like the way that it looks as is. It's an elegant solution that I will look into. I've posted before that I don't "need" an elevated helm as I like to stand, but when I want to sit or someone smaller is at the helm, it would be a good thing to have.
If it's stainless steel, you...

I'm glad that I have the wrap and guards. Pontoons with the high walls and toons themselves handle very differently than V hull boats and when there is wind and tide involved (as is the case where we use the boat) it can be a challenge, especially when you first get the boat. It continues...
I'll repost my first post here, as you are right in the same spot that I was in and the post directly addresses your questions. 2 seasons and and I still feel the same way about my choices. The only thing I would do differently is get a raised helm, and maybe not get the changing station...
Mike-Try going out of Horseneck. There is a really good state boat ramp there and a decent size parking lot. If you stay in the channel you can avoid most of the hazards of the Westport Harbor and its a short hop to Cuttyhunk, MV etc. I don't do it because I don't like taking a pontoon out...
I have a 22 ssbxp swing back with sps and a Yamaha 150 and it's great for tubing and skiing etc. having more hp is never a bad thing but I'm pretty happy with the 150 and sps hull. The s series are lighter than the R and Q boats so you'd probably need a bigger engine for those series.
I...
is it just me or is it very much a wrestling match to get the Bimini wrap cover back on for anyone else?
Getting that zipper zipped back up seems to be a serious design fail, or I haven't figured out the right method to get it back on easily.
I've been thinking about having one that's a...
Looks like an excellent build!
I've got a 22ssbxp with mostly the same options and a Yamaha 150. The 150 has been very good for us and we can pull tubers and skiers etc well. That said, while I'm not sorry I didn't get more HP, you never will have too much. If you are unsure, go for the 200...
I agree with Chris A that the look of the boat without the rail is pretty cool. I wrestled with that but ultimately went for the rail for the reasons that I stated above, and the regulations in our waters took the choice away if I want to seat passengers on the swingback pad while underway. We...
