My dealer loaned me a boat to use all summer 2020, It was a preordered 2019 that the guy did not want, so they shipped it to me and let me break it in and keep all summer till my new boat got in.
I would not even think of running my Bowrider against his. It was my last boat, a 2020 23 RFB w/ 250 Yamaha, It would go 45-46 MPH, He left me from the get go..
My Bowrider is a turd. 41 MPH Max w/ a 300
My nabor has a 2020 25' Manatou with a 250 Evinrude, Big center tube. Ride is good and it hauls but, 50+ MPH, Smoked my 23'RSB w/ Yamaha Sho 250 easily.
Like the post above stated, I would definitely nix the arch idea. My boat is 24' and with a 300 hp only runs 41 MPH GPS speed. You boat with a 115 hp might get to 25 MPH. They only provide 9' of cover, Benningtons standard top is 10'. And did i mention if you board on the side gate you have to...
Ditch the arch. We hate ours.
They are only for looks, nothing else, plus they are heavy and rob top speed. My 24' Bennington with a 300 HP will only run 41 MPH.
It is right in the way, side gate you have to duck under it. It is very hard to put ropes on for pulling tubers. I cannot see any purposes other than looks cool. I had dealer tell me it was almost impossible to remove it as it was going to cost me 5k. It really impresses others, which I am not...
Higher octane will NOT hurt your motor, as a matter of fact 91-93 Octane is all I run. It will unless any horsepower left on the table if your motor is tuned for it. Also I have had alot of new boats and never had a issue driving it like I stole it from the getgo. I test drove all threes Bennys...
I have researched best prop for a 25' tri-toon w/ 300 yamaha
Here is what I found for best overall performance
15 pitch 4 blade
or 15.5 by 16
or 15.75 by 15
