So I bought me second Bennington, This one has the Yamaho SHO, it is so loud we cannot talk when underway.

Well shoot,...if Mercury seems to be quieter than Yamaha,..I may be "rethinking" my motor decision and go with Mercury instead! It will all depend on which motor is more reliable,...Mercury or Yamaha!

Anybody tow their Bennington with a Ford Ranger(2019 to current model)?

Wasn't exactly sure which forum to post in so I'm posting it here! Question is,...anybody tow their Bennington with the current models of Ford Ranger(2019 to current)? The Bennington I want is the S20 L-bench. Since I don't own lake property I will be towing my pontoon to wherever I decide to go...

    Launching solo!

Oh my gosh! Yeah,...I always made sure my boat was secured to the trailer with PLENTY of straps,...two straps done the job on a little 14 footer! I miss that little Lund A-14 at times,...that's the kind of boat I had,and kick myself in the butt for selling it!

    Launching solo!

One other thing I SHOULD mention is that I don't live on a lake or own lake property,...I'll be trailering my pontoon where ever I go to boat!

    Launching solo!

Most definitely do it on a calm day! I can remember the many times when I had my little 14 ft. utility-v bottom boat that it would be literal hell trying to get that thing back on the trailer in a cross wind! Wind would blow that darn thing all over the lake if it was really strong!

    Launching solo!

Salamonie Lake,...which is about 35 miles west of where I live has FOUR boat ramps! The LEAST steepest ramp is the Dora Nw Holland State Recreation area on the northwest side of the reservoir! That ramp would be the easiest one to use,and I used that one a LOT when I had my little 14 ft...

    Launching solo!

A question for you MORE EXPERIENCED pontoon owners! I don't have my pontoon YET,but I just want to get an idea on launching a pontoon solo,...or by yourself! What is the best way to do that? I've had a boat before but it was just a little 14 ft. utility boat,...so I KNOW a launching a 20 foot...

    Hello,...new member!

I haven't bought mine yet,...but hoping to do so soon! Going to go with a the 20S L-bench with 90 HP Yamaha, and 25" tubes. Just the standard features,...nothing fancy on a FIRST and probably LAST pontoon! 20 foot will be MORE than enough for me! This is coming late in life as I'm 62 years...

    Hello,...new member!

30 mph on a pontoon,...however I HIGHLY doubt I'll even want to go that fast,....maybe 20 to 25 MPH tops? Plenty fast for me! LOL! I just want to cruise,...not into water sports so no tubing! Five or six other people at the most on board besides myself being "captain of my ship".

    Hello,...new member!

Well,...after talking with my dealer yesterday afternoon(4/21/26),...I have decided to go with the 20 SL with 25" tubes and 8.5' beam rather than the narrow 8' beam of the 188 SLJ. The 20 SL with the 25" tubes will take a 90 HP outboard. I won't be fishing,...just cruising,...so the SL will be...

    Hello,...new member!

Hello from DewMan1964; New member here and prospective Bennington owner,...I hope! I'm looking at Bennington's entry level pontoons in the S-line with 8' beam! Looking at Bennington's newest brochure they have a 188 SL and 188 SLJ. For a guy who is NEW to owning and operating a pontoon,I feel...
