It's the elevation. I live in Portland at sea level and on my Yamaha 150 with a 3 blade SS it get 6100. When we go to Priest Lake in northern Idaho it gets only 5300 RPM max, elevation is 2500 ft. Take it to you local dealer and have them recalibrate.
Yesterdays ski behind the L21 - SPS package, Yamaha F150 with a SS 4 blade 14.25X14 prop like I noted before my buddies and I love skiing behind the toon
ran my down the side underneath and zip ties to the exiting wire bunch, when I got the the stern for the battery hookup just used a fishing wire to pull it through, very simple
I have the 2022 21LL SPS package and the Yamaha F150. I was running the Yamaha 3 blade SS 14.5x15. WOT was 6000 rpm 1 person in the boat 41.4 MPH. With the advise from a prop dealer and mfg/repair for tugs etc, I just switched to a Powertech 4 blade SS 14.25x14 and oh man what a difference in...
I love to ski behind my 21LL tri-toon. I have the F150 with a 3 blade SS 14.5X15 no problem getting up and I'm, 6'3" 220. To be honest several friends have ski boats and some including me prefer the tri-toon, almost zero wake. The only very minor issue is it's a small double wake. I'm...
I also live in Portland and have the LL21 with the grass flooring. It can get a bit warm but never hot to where you have to put the flip flops on. What type of floor is it. I'm wondering if it would be the glue under the flooring. Glue issues have happened infrequently in the past for...
I have a hydro hoist and to avoid that when I go my pontoon I just flipped the swing arms upside down and traded sides. Now it's just the 3 rail beds that it sits on nothing on either side. Guide rails are not needed.
Yes you will get more top end speed WOT however if you have several people in the boat your mid range cruising speed will drop plus handling and hole shot. Unless you enjoy going constant WOT for top end speed stay with the 4 blade. Overall better performance.
Believe me living on a big river with a decent current, especially with the spring snow run off from the Cascade Mt going all the way up to BC Canada, a 4 blade makes a world of difference in handling. I agree with more people on the boat a 4 blade keeps the speed up. thanks for the feed back
I have a LL21 SPS package with the Yamaha 150 and 14.5X15 SS 3 blade, I have a floating home on the Columbia river with a garage. The problem is cross current when pulling in. Prior to my Bennington I had a ski boat and went from a 3 blade SS to a 4 blade SS. There was a significant difference...
Have a 2021 LL 21 SPS package, Seastar steering, SS 14.5 x 15 prop (Yamaha recommends) top speed with 2 at 5900 RPM 41 mph. I would like more speed and bit better hole shot. Would changing to the new 2024 SHO max 150, which is 29 lbs lighter provide better performance and would it allow for a...
