Actually things have gone well. Recovering and catching up from 66h of driving over 6 days and one close call (.5 mi) with a tornado. Details to follow soon.

...I'm in Red Wing, MN right now. 1800 mile drive back to the dealer. Update forthcoming. If everything goes as planned tomorrow, we will have a reasonable resolution. Will follow up in the next day or so...

As I said, I'll post all details once we have resolution so hopefully I can detail a happy ending to this story. Resolution, while not finalized, continues to progress at a good pace now after a slow start.

Had my new 2575 qcw Merc 300 out on Lake Mead yesterday: No bow rise Saw 47mph (2ppl+full fuel) Did 70+ miles on 37% of a tank Amazing in rough water (2.5-3.0 white caps) The clear deck makes the boat feel bigger and more accessible (than the q28 io I considered)

I have the warranty in hand. It says *any* dealer will service the warranty. I will post a picture tomorrow.

Yes. Agreed. Snow on the ground in MN. They were willing to do a deal to move inventory. On the other hand, Lake Havasu dealer was holding on to its inventory for premium prices. I also think better deals now before the boating season is in full swing. That's how I planned it out from last year.
