Thats a interesting solution Ccando and I was considering that very thing if I run into water issues in the fuel. I just hosed it up like my previous Tahoe boat which came that way from the factory and never had water issues but that being said I always put marine stabil in the tank every time I...
Not completely sure yet but my last two bow riders had factory vent systems just like this and I never did anything additional other then adding stabil to the tank.
Open to suggestions.
Cheers
I ordered a external vent and a loger piece of hose from overtons and mounted it right next to the fuel fill, I had to drill a hole to mount it but it looks great and I have no more issues with fuel splash back.
I will take a pic of the mounting and vent when I get back home in a couple of days...
I fixed mine by running a separate vent that could handle the volume of the 5/8 hose.
It looked like the stock fuel fill had a very small vent hole and could not handle the volume of air.
This must happen a lot because last year while pulling up my anchor I also pulled up someones lost anchor.
This happened 3-times last year so I have a good collection now.
This is the route I am thinking of taking because I just cant get to pump to flow slow enough.
I may look at different brands of filler necks but a satalite breather looks like the way to go.
Dang Will that stinks,
It must have been one heck of a wind to bend that brace, My top seems to be built like a tank.
Hopefully they care of it for ya.
