    SimTex Fabric Issue

I wish I new what the previous owner spilled on the fabric, unfortunately I don’t. My 1st impression was that it looked like spilled grease. I envisioned someone holding a juicy hamburger on a paper plate and juice/grease spilled out. No one ever cleaned it and the boat was stored for the...

    SimTex Fabric Issue

As mentioned I am disappointed that the SimTex fabric is that sensitive to staining and that difficult to remove a stain once set in, at least from what I have expierenced. Granted I don’t know what caused my stains as it occurred before I took ownership. From my past expierence conventional...

    SimTex Fabric Issue

The stains are old and have been there since at least the winter. The boat was stored inside in the winter and the mooring cover was in place while stored. I acquired the boat in April and noticed them after that. They have had their oppertunity to fade but no such luck.

    SimTex Fabric Issue

Thank you for your responses. Yes as part of the recommended cleaning methods I have tried Dawn. No matter what recommended procedures i have tried. I have yet to see any of the stain residue transfer off of the Simtex onto a clean white cloth when its plotted or wiped and rinsed with water...

    SimTex Fabric Issue

1st year, with a new to me, 2021 Bennington SX22. Love the boat but the biggest disappointment is with the SimTex covered seats. I was hoping someone has a solution, opinions or advice on what can be done. This fabric just seems to stain so easy and permanently at that. The color of the fabric...

    Depth, MPH, Water Temp Recomendations?

Thanks for all the advice. I like the idea of the mounting it on the space I have on the dashboard, just like Markv has. it appears the Striker 4 connectors are on the back of the device so holes would need to be drilled in the dash to allow the two cables to pass through and connect. I would...

Boat Lift - One last Try

Its an older model, manual wheel, Shore Station boat lift. Nothing special, but has a real nice canopy and I own it. If it were doable it would cost me very little to convert it for pontoon use. I dock on a one-sided dock with the dock being on the port side so it is difficult to see the...

    Depth, MPH, Water Temp Recomendations?

I was thinking about the Striker 4 on a pedestal on one of the flat horizontal areas

Boat Lift - One last Try

I just purchased a 2021 23’ SX Swingback. I have a boat lift that was used for a 21’ bowrider with a 5.0 liter inboard. The bunks could be changed to accomadate a pontoon boat. The lift can handle the weight of the new pontoon boat but I am looking for opinions if its feasible to handle the...

    Depth, MPH, Water Temp Recomendations?

Hello Everyone, My 1st post to the forum. Just purchased a hardly used 2021 Bennington SX swingback. I would like to add something to read depth, mph and water temp as the dashboard does not have any of these features. It has a simple layout with no blank surface to mount a display, so I was...
