Amazing difference. Do notice a vibration at idle in gear now though. Was going to try to switch back to hub kit that came with boat. New kit, the plastic hub is a lot shorter. But again, much happier.
Finally got a chance to put boar back in water. New 15X15p Enertia is awesome. What a difference that prop made. Totally different boat now. 39mph and handles great. Can still only trim to 1/4 mark but all in all happy. Thanks for all your help guys.
He is sending a prop that is up 2 pitch's according the manager. After reading your thoughts I told him I wanted to try a 15X15 also. So he said both will be on their way. I hope this takes care of it.
Dealer spoke with bennington. Said they've tested my boat and motor extensively. Said I should get 33mph and will not be able to trim anymore then what i got now. Dealer is sending me a prop to try.
Dealer installed motor. I bought off showroom floor. It had nothing on it.
Dealer is talking to bennington now. Waiting for their reply. Not sure if something has change from '18. Just cant believe that motor cant be trimmed up at all. Also, prop is 16" x 11p, does that sound right?
Hopefully pics work.
This is where prop starts to cavitate. I cannot drive at this trim. Straight edge shows prop tip above water line at level indicated on guage.
Well after two days of talking with dealer, they are telling me it is a xl shaft and "some boats just cant be trimmed up".I've had boats for 35 years and have never had this problem. Took it out again yesterday and by myself got 29mph at 6200 rpm. Trimmed all the down. Terrible handling because...
Yes it is.
I'm almost thinking they set up my boat with the wrong engine. It has the sps package and larger transom. With motor level, half the prop is above bottom of center pontoon.
Thanks for reply.
That's my issue. Right after plane, if I trim motor up any, prop comes out of water. I cant get above lowest mark(closest to down) on trim guage before prop comes out of water and over revs.
Also, I was told this set up with 4 stroke 150 would do 40mph. I can barely get 31.
Hi guys, new to forum. Just bought my first bennington, 22SLX tritoon, mercury 150xl. My question is speed. After two hour break in, top speed is 31. I was expecting a bit more.
Also. I cant trim motor up at speed anymore then just above full down line on trim gauge.
Is this right?
