I am the other "crazy one" mentioned by Kevin in his post about putting boats in water early. We just got our Benny back (from Boat Masters) last Thursday. Glad to see a few other Portage Lakers on this forum! We have lived on the Lakes for 3.5 years and love it (and our Bennington SSBSXP)...
As an OSU fan, I would love nothing more than see an LSU v OSU final. I have said all year I will cheer for Joe Burrow every game unless the Buckeyes meet LSU in the playoffs. I have little doubt LSU will hold up their end of the deal and take care of Oklahoma with no problem. But Clemson...
Pulled the Benny out this past Saturday, since they will begin lowering our lakes this week. 300 hours on the outboard after 2 boating seasons - and probably at least that many hours spent anchored and lounging. My fishing boat is getting a bit neglected with all of this time spent on the...
Sorry it took me so long to reply! Here is a picture of the lubricant used by the service tech on our squeaky wheel. It was done over a year ago and has just started squeaking again. I could spray some more lubricant, but the dealer has promised to fix the problem permanently during the off...
Congrats! Looks like a great boat and only 65 hours! I'm pretty sure we had 65 hours in the first month and a half of ownership of our '18 22SSBXP. We now have almost 300 hours in a bit less than 2 full seasons. Like Rodsfields said above, I guess I am a junkie!
I am fortunate to live only 5 minutes from the Bennington dealer where I purchased the boat. A service technician from the dealer came to my home and looked at the squeaky wheel. He ended up spraying/rubbing a thin lubricant into the steering column as well as he could without removing the...
You mentioned the switch on the outboard itself works fine to lower the motor. Thus, it seems highly likely the problem is in the trim switch (at the throttle) or the wiring from that switch to the motor (which others have mentioned). I would think that would fall under the Bennington warranty...
Almost $5/gallon on the lake here (NE Ohio). Filled up the Bennington yesterday evening and the car earlier in the day (93 octane to feed the Hemi) so it was a painful $150 gas afternoon... lol
I thought about going with Crazy Diamond, but ultimately decided against putting any name on the pontoon. Also thought about "Coming Back to Life" and "Happiest Days of Our Lives" as they both would be fitting on some level. You are correct, the Floyd catalogue offers many potential cool names!
We haven't named ours yet. I was going to call it "Comfortably Numb" just like yours (huge Floyd & Gilmore fan!) but found out there was already a boat on our lake with that name - along with another one called "Comfortably Numb II".
From reading other posts on this forum, I was under the impression the KMC-10 was already factory wired the way you desire on the 6 speaker setup - the 4 cabin speakers assigned to the front channel and the 2 stern speakers assigned to the rear channel. I cannot confirm this, as my swingback...
We use these mats and love them. You can't stand up on these like you can with the expensive rubber roll-up mats and probably wouldn't hold up well with kids and pets running across them like I see done with the expensive mats. But for staying cool while leisurely laying in the sun they are...
