Don't rule out used if you want to save big money, I picked up a 2012 22" SFX that had been used 34 hours with everything I would of ordered on a new one including trolling motor and two Lowrance fish finders, lifting strakes, wave shield, 115hp Yamaha, full vinyl floor and he even left 6 new...
I'm guessing you checked it to make sure it's still in the pre incident position? Cut it off and then back on to see if that helps. I'm sure you don't have a motor issue.
I will just add that I have a 22' SFX with a 115hp Yamaha. Feel like any smaller and I'd not be happy. My max mph is about 26mph wot. Don't go under 90hp, I'm afraid you won't be happy but I could be wrong.
I'm trying to picture how you guys park, my Marina and all I have seen around here is 2 boats side by side and the most I can see is two boats rubbing against each other if one isn't tied just right. Got a pic of your situation?
Just curious, was it a confirmed twister or possible it was straight line winds? Doesn't matter either way as damage is damage no matter what caused it. Glad y'all are ok and hope they get you fixed better than new real quick.
There should be several inches of clearance to get a lock washer and nut on, just get the right size and length in SS. I'd add a flat washer also. Lowes and Home Depot has a great selection of SS hardware.
We take 2 family members most of the time and just fish and take pics, I go out alot by myself to fish and take pics also. We don't take kids on the boat and we would get bored just riding around ourself but that's just us. I'd like to do some knee boarding but I'm not sure how a 115hp would do...
Had got to the Marine, had my boat ready to go & walked up to the main dock to use the restroom when I noticed people just running around all panicked. A few stopped & told me a pontoon was sinking & people were in the water. I ask if anyone had called the DGIF & she had no idea you could do...
Gonna tag this as I'm curious as to what your told here, I run the same prop as you just on a 22' 115hp yamaha. I hit 6100 wot and the best I can do is 25-26 mph. Where I get lost at is I just picked up a Solas prop with the same specs as my original and it runs 5800 and 25-26 mph. Not even sure...
I just don't think I'd trust that boat anymore, best thing would be to send it to me to keep, wouldn't want to see you stranded you know. Btw, I just love your boat and I'm sure a dealer would take care of it if you do have a problem. Good luck with it.
Mine is dedicated to 28 years of being a Firefighter/Rescue Tech, I use it on my gun forum, Chevy forum and Mac forums. As my user name says, I will be there to Resqu2 if you get in a mess in my coverage area.
