    Boat Binoculars

I have a very similar pair of Nikons that are about 30 years old. They have been great and never had any issue with them. Still even have the original storage bag . . . . . It is nice to keep them on the boat as we have bald eagles that are often seen scanning the lake from the tree tops.

    Adding Hour Meter to a 2010 2554

Has anyone replaced their tach gauge on a 2010 Bennington with Yamaha 150 engine and been able to add a Tech that includes an hour meter? My understanding is that the 2010 was wired to have the hour meter but the boats made early in the model year did not yet have the Tach that included the...

    Fuel Sender Ground?

I'd like to fix my issues with the gas gauge as well but I'm not sure if I need to get a new gauge, new sending unit or its just a bad ground? My issue is the guage just 'bounces' and when it does stop bouncing it reads significantly lower than the actual gas level. I did replace the sending...

    Repair Cover Snap Repair

This thread is very old but thought I would ask if anyone has found a good source for the male/screw parts of the snaps that are attached to the boat. I swear anytime my boat touches our dock, one of these snaps gets bent (and they do not snap if they have the slightest dent in the snap)...

    Breaker replacement

No one else has had these breakers go bad? I have two that won’t reset and one is for the Nav/anchor light and the other is for a switch (livewell) that does not have anything attached to it? I have to believe both are bad breakers as I’ve tested both lamps and there is no short. It’s either...

    Breaker replacement

Has anyone had the little breakers on the dash go bad? I replaced a broken Nav light with a new unit but the breaker won’t reset. I’m wondering if the breaker is bad? Anyone have that happen and are they available online or just through a Bennington dealer?

Trolling motor and docking in crowded marina

Check out Lake Gaston if you are considering NC lakes - Lake Gaston is a beautiful lake and very uncrowded.

    Fill/Bleed Hydraulic Steering

Anyone added fluid to their hydraulic power steering unit and successfully bled out the air? I've watched a few Youtube video's on doing it but was hoping someone in the forum had done it and can offer any advice. If I'm going through the process, would you consider draining all the fluid and...

    2011 20 SLI Docking Lights

I know this is an old thread but wondering if there is a way to buy the entire assembly. My daughter had an unexpected meeting with the corner of the dock and the light didn't fare well on impact :-) Are Bennington parts only available through dealers or are there other online sources? Rick

    Sticky Steering

I have not - is there a fluid reserve or is it all contained internal? How would I check the level? I’ll do a google search as well but don’t think I’ve seen anything in the past. Rick

    Sticky Steering

I have a Yamaha 150 on my 2554 and it has the ‘Hydraulic steering’ option. The steering feels very ‘sticky’ to me some days as compared to others. Has anyone had their Sea Star steering assist replaced and did it feel like the steering was kind of spotty when it began to fail? Not sure if...

    Second Full or Auxiliary Battery

Does anyone have a picture of where they placed their added battery and the perko switch? I plan to add a second battery this coming weekend and for got to take pictures of the compartment so I could plan out what I will need for mounting. I have a 2010 2554-GCW with Yamaha 150 and the first...

Electric Boat Cover - any feedback?

I received a general rough quote yesterday (prior to actual visit to get precise measurements) from Touchless. Pretty steep - ~$7,000 with sides at 60” and then about ~$9,000 if we go to sides 61-84”. I guess that is about double what I was expecting.......

Electric Boat Cover - any feedback?

Hey Viking - we just had the dock built about a month ago or so. Plan to finish the bar with a granite bar top, some cabinets and a fridge in the spring ..... it will be a great outdoor man cave.

Electric Boat Cover - any feedback?

We are looking to add an electric 'touchless' boat cover for our Bennington 2554. We keep the boat in an electric lift in a covered dock (open sides) but I'm looking to accomplish a couple things: 1. Easier on/off - the 25' cover is very big and cumbersome to put on, take off and store when...
