Hey All-
We have a 2019 23 SSBXP with Ultra Legs, SPS, and F150 Yamaha. It's been a great setup for us for the past 4 seasons. But putting the mooring cover on and off is a pain so we're looking at getting a free standing canopy to park in at our dock. Unfortunately, our rig is in storage and I...
I'm pretty sure 8"6" is the standard width for pontoons. I think the 10' beam is only an option for longer pontoons with dual engines. For sure get a tritoon and 150HP+ if you want to do any watersports and to handle the waves.
The "Build & Price" tool in the upper RH corner of the website is...
Interesting on the VMAX with your dealer. On our lake there are tons of pontoons with Yamaha motors (like hundreds of pontoons, literally) and I've only seen one or two VMAX motors. I certainly don't think there's anything wrong with getting one but I err on the side of reliability and the F150...
If you're going to pull tubers inside the wake you'll be fine with a pontoon and 115. I don't see any reason to get the 150 other than resale value for your size lake, even if you're putting sea legs on.
If you want to get a tuber outside the wake and give them a thrilling ride you're going to...
For sure get the 150 and SPS. Spend the money now and you won't regret it. Triple toon makes a huge difference in buoyancy and at speed drives more like a boat than a barge. We have a 19 ssbxp. Even with the sea legs and 6-8 adults on board I can still clock 30+ MPH and dump teenagers off the...
That's a great choice. You don't need the max trailering package for your setup though. Tahoe's are made for towing the way they are. The max trailering packages on half ton vehicles are for people who tow heavy loads a lot, or in the mountains, but won't buy a 3/4 ton pickup like they should...
Our girls are teenagers so it's not an issue. We're getting the guard rail on the back to make it legal though. No matter what layout you get you'll have to supervise the little peeps closely.
Ended up buying a 23 SSBXP with SPS, 150 hp, and ultra legs. Lots of other upgrades and bling also. I was trying to be budget minded through the shopping process but my wife had the "buy your first boat last" mentality. She really liked the swingback layout and we got a smoking deal on a 2019...
I was looking at a similar boat but made the (good) mistake of taking my wife to the dealer to pick out a color. We ended up with a significant upgrade!
I'd suggest buying sheets of UHMW instead, cutting to size, and bolting down with flat head stainless sheet metal screws. You'll need to countersink the holes in the plastic. UHMW is lightweight, naturally slippery, and inexpensive. It's used on wear applications on industrial machinery and...
Sharp boat! I can't wait for delivery of our new Benny 23SSBXB SPS. Unfortunately there is still ice on the lakes here in MN. Delivery is scheduled for May 1 so hopefully ice is off by then!
Thanks, guys. Yes, it has the SPS package with the 150 Yamaha. I'm not too worried about top end speed and having legs will be really handy. My brother has a 21' pontoon with a 115 Merc and sea legs and only gets low 20's. His kids are young so it's ok for pulling them but I want to be able...
