My Kicker radio only works when I hit the trim button. Any ideas?

The boat is a 2016. The first time out the radio worked fine and after that only when I hit the trim button. As I stated I took a direct +/- to the radio from the battery(s) and made sure the polarity was correct.

My kicker radio will only play when I activate the trim button for the motor! I ran a separate + and - directly from the battery and it still only operates when trimming the motor? Any suggestions?
