I'll get a picture, but I'm 2 weeks away from a lake trip. On mine, there is no way to get to the bottom of the cleat (bolts & nuts) without removing a shield, kind of an L shaped thing about 8 feet long. Thanks for the reply.
Just replace the two front cleats with Bennington brand retractable cleats, now starting on the aft. It looks like I need to drill out 4 rivots along edge to remove what is blocking my effort. I have a 2021 R23. Does anyone have experience in doing this? I hate to start drilling out rivots...
Does anyone know if the ESP technology in the 2021 boats is different than that of the 2011 models? I suspect Bennington has improved on this idea, added size, weight, etc.
I just sold my 2011 2250GCW w/ a 150 hp Yamaha that had an elliptical center toon. Looking at the front of that boat, I don't remember the center toon being as large as the 2021 picture shows. I suspect it was more like the SPS, even though it was elliptical looking on the rear of the boat...
Does anyone have performance experience in the difference between the SPS package and the ESP. I assume the ESP handles better, but wouldn't the SPS be fine with a 200 hp Yamaha?
Hadn't thought about that. I hate to drop 90 grand and end up with a glorified Hurricane. I wouldn't have changed anything about our 2250GCW, but I'm intrigued by this bowrider. I like the sleek look. I'll report back after I get a chance to walk on one.
Our 2011 2250GCW w/ a 150 HP Yamaha would do 36 mph at best. If the bowrider layout works, the only thing left unknown is the ride. I suspect the ride at 20-25 mph will be close to the same. We're rarely at full throttle during our boat outings.
I don't care about the top speed. We're looking at a 24RTFBC w/ a 200 hp Yamaha. We're just cruising and pulling a skier/tube. The choppier comment concerns me. We loved our 2250GCW over choppy waters. Going to VA next week to walk on an actual bowrider to see if it works for our family...
I just sold my 2011 Tritoon 2250GCW. I'm looking at a 2021 Bowrider 24RTFBC. Anyone have a comparison of the two boats? Better ride? Handling? Pros or cons for the Bowrider?
