At the base of my captains chairs is a black plastic paddle that is attached to the chair column. You can flip it up......you can flip it down......but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is doing. Anyone know what the heck this thing is?
Royo -I know that cove very well. My in-laws have a house there. My Bennington is at the state park during the week, but at my in-laws dock every weekend.
I'm also at Pickwick on the Tennessee River. My boat is at Pickwick State Park marina next to the dam. That's about mile marker 213. I'm guessing 130 is actually in Alabama around Joe Wheeler. Did the poster mean 230?
You MUST snap the cover first onto the side that DOES NOT face the dock. If you start on the dock side first, there is no where to stand in the boat while you try and pull over the cover and snap to the other side. You want to snap the dockside last because you don't need to be on the boat to do so.
I had the exact same problem with my 2011 2575 RCW (and yes, I have the LED lighting). Noticed it on my maiden voyage. My kids too, would put their hands in there to play. Also noticed our drink bottles were covered in black grease. No amount of cleaning will solve the problem. Simple...
I made the same silly mistake. Kept pushing that button on the Bimini strut.....no lights. Finally figured out that either the nav lights or anchor light needs to be engaged before the Bimini lights will work.
Although I haven't purchased any yet, I plan to go to target and buy some of those large plastic storage tubs (they look like giant Tupperware containers) that come with lids. I'm going to get one for dock lines and tow ropes. One for my anchor and rode. One for miscellaneous stuff like air...
I guess it depends on your boat. I have a 2011 2575 RCW which has the Sony stereo and USB port built into the helm. There are also several hard connections at the unit itelf inside the helm (where the unit is actually mounted). No need for bluetooth connectivity.
If I'm ever up in Indiana I definitely want to tour the manufacturing facility. So my question is this....how many boats do you think they build in a typical year?
