We have ultra legs on our pontoon. I absolutely love them. We pull up to sandbars, other peoples docks and lower the legs. So simple and easy. I can recommend them to anyone who is thinking about them.
We have a bow seat really like it. I hardly ever need to get at the stern on the pontoon so we moved it there. I like how it now looks like a wrap around seating area, instead of two separate areas to sit. Our bow door gets used as our main entry because of the dock shape so we couldn’t put it...
You stated you clean your pontoon after each outing. Is it possible you have removed the sharkhide coating and now you are seeing the aluminum tarnish?
Agree with others, it’s just an indicator that the hour meter is running. Good for you that you are paying attention to the details. Have fun with your new pontoon.
I’m a retired mechanic so I’ve changed lower unit oil many times on my outboards. I’ve never changed lower unit oil over the water, but I will give you some advice. I did change the engine oil over the water without a drip in the water with a large tray. You will need a large drip tray to catch...
I had the same problem. I found a small two suction cup holder from West Marine that I bought thinking it would fit on the side panel. It does not hold on the side panel because of the slight ribs on the panel. So I mounted it in the center of the helm under the steering wheel. It holds my...
I wasn’t going to buy a trailer for my 21’ Bennington either. I had second thoughts and called my dealer. Just so happened they were on sale and being I bought a pontoon they lowered the price. My new trailer is a 2019 Yacht Club bunk style double axle. $2800 plus tax and license. I hooked it up...
Go to the Bennington webpage and look at the home page on the bottom. You will see 10 year warranty registration page, fill it out and they will send you a conformation email back.
Opps, I just saw your post. We are having a lot of fun, taking it out almost every day since we got it. I just did the first oil/filter change yesterday because there is plenty of time left in the season before it gets put to bed for the winter. So many new things to learn about boating. A huge...
I just picked up my bow seat last week. I have a stern radius layout. It fits perfectly in my bow or stern, looks like it’s built in and a seamless fit. It would even work on the port side, but that would cover the side door a bit and you could still have room for a cooler. I could measure it...
I have a Kicker radio model KMC1. I can only get a few FM radio stations on our lake. In the same area my car radio can get plenty of FM stations. I looked under the dash and a bunch of wires coming from the source unit is all tied up with tie wraps. Is there an antenna I need to buy to get...
I looked under my dash last week and remembered there was a 3 amp fuse going to my Garmin fish finder. You might want to look with a flashlight to see if yours has an inline fuse that is blown. If it’s a blown fuse replace it, if the fuse blows again you have bigger problems.
I just saw an add for a weed blower that mounts to your dock. In the sales video they had an extension cord powering the unit that was looping up to the motor. There were kids playing 3 feet from the blower that was plugged in. If one of those kids knocked the cord out it would be in the water...
