Well thanks for the additional commentary DVW.
This is the internet and frankly, I asked for it......so I read and try not to take comments personally.
Maybe I should win an award for having the dumbest boating idea in the last 30+ years?
Helpful suggestions of course are always...
Thanks for the reply and your thoughts. Not sure what other info I can provide. Basically the boat is hanging in the lift now. No water underneath. I want to lag bolt some joists to the boathouse supports (6x6) posts at the front and rear of the boat. The joist would be outside the cradle...
So our lake is way down and I currently have dry ground underneath my boat which is in a lift. Want to take advantage of that by replacing my lift bunks. I have a fixed wooden dock with 6x6 posts. My thought is to bolt up some joists underneath the boat (19’ across) and lower the lift so that...
I have similar problem. I bought the fancy lilipad marine funnel. Works great but I wonder if it fills too fast for the vent to work. The other day, gas belched out while filling so I assumed it was full and took off in the boat. Gauge read half full. I thought it was full. I have been...
No to pile on the hijack, but have the same issue on the rear deck where the cover isn't present. You can definetly see the line from the covered/uncovered portion of the boat. I thought it might be dirt but haven't tried to clean it yet. Hate to hear nothing worked so far for the OP.
Yeap, that looks right to me. BTW, I did not have to remove any side skirting to run wire up to the helm. You can get your hand up in there to work a bit. Sub has ability to turn on/off when it detects a signal so not sure he need to tie into antenna control but I'll let others chime in who...
Joachim, thats exactly how I wired up my sub (and also an amp), to the hub. Its what the hub is for. Mine didn't come with a fuse, so had to order one, a little different that your typical auto blade fuse. Works like a charm. I also ran all my wires through grommets and under the skin as...
That’s the direction I am heading at present. Buying some material to lay over the exposed decking. My lake is in central Texas with limited access to canvas guys. Also, like you, I do not want snaps around the rub rail. I like the 2x4 idea. It would hopefully be heavy enough to prevent the...
Both are options for sure, I used to have an owl up in the rafters, thought it worked until one day I saw a dove making a nest right beside it. Ha. I think a canvas shop is my best bet to have something with some longevity. Thanks for the ideas.
So brought home my new 19' RSB 23 and love it! It sits in my covered dock and I always put on the mooring cover, however the front and rear deck portions of the boat are not covered. The rear is slightly exposed to morning sunshine and then spider crap, birds, etc over time will get on those...
I believe speaker polarity/wire color is the same as mine. I have the safety hub and wired into that vs the battery. Wanted to make sure sub shut down and didn't drain my battery all week long.
Same as you but only tapped into one speaker then pig tailed into the sub so that all inputs are covered. Humming is odd. I tapped into clear wires too. Do you have polarity correct and all the settings on sub are good? Funny when I first installed, I set to audio on and my blue light was on...
I have the RSB and my fuel seperator is in the way as well. Won’t go in corner so I just put the sub on the other side, not tucked up in the corner. Put a JL M400/4 and with the sub, kickers sound pretty good.
