Thanks for the inspiration!! I got to thinking about this idea and installed a no drill door keeper using a NiteIze Cell phone holder. Super strong magnet... seems to work well so far. Here's a quick video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9cUb-9bRZsVSFFPT1U5bERRZmc/view?usp=sharing
We're getting water through the floor just outside the door to the under helm storage. It seems water must be hitting the cross members (no skinning) and making its way through to soak the carpet.
Dropped it off at dealer this AM and he had "never heard of this happening before". Hopefully...
1- There should be an adjustable strap that you wrap around the closed bimini top then each end connects to one of those built in straps on the cover. You cinch it up to prevent pooling on that area of the cover.
2- The top should be in the lower position when on the road.
This is kind of what I was trying to describe. There isn't a ton of room back there I know, but there is some usable space while still allowing passage through. I currently hang my three fenders there while under way. Just curious what other folks use the space for.
Just an idea... always on...
I'm not saying it's "wasted" space, but it seems to me, there may be potentially better use for this unused area directly behind the helm seat. Maybe a folding table attached to the rails? Some sort of storage compartment?
Thoughts? Anyone done anything there?
