I believe it runs off of GPS either way, it just uses the Garmin's if you have that to be even more accurate.

Top switch works interior speakers and bottom works rear deck speakers so that I can have all, none, inside or outside on depending on what is going on.

I haven't mounted an amp in my boat but for my last couple of trucks I have used cutting boards as amp racks. They are cheap, at every walmart, strong, never rot and screws go in like butter.
