locking

I recently bought my first pontoon. A 2000 Bennington 2275 LX and after trying the ignition key to try to get the under seat locking cabinets to lock I’ve had no success. Is there a different key for those locks or am i just doing it wrong? and if it is supposed to be a seperate key(which i do...
