Hello, I just recently purchased a 2006 Bennington 2575 and love the boat. My problem is that when I load more than 8 people the bilge gets flooded with water to the point that water is about half way up the main pully on the motor and overwhelms the pump. I read in an older chat from 2014 about the same issue and the fix was adding some missing splash shields for the fuel tank area and patching open seams. Can someone direct me to who to contact about acquiring these shields and how to install them?

To assist with ideas, guidance, or being pointed in the right direction, can you post a picture of the area in question. Ideally one with it normal and another when yo have the boat loaded up and it’s flooded? Might be helpful as there are many helpful people in here with good ideas, but this isn’t a common problem and its on an older model that many of us don’t have so may not be aware of a nuance with your situation.

I might be way off base here but on our previous 2004 2275 RL I/O we would have a bunch of water in the bilge area at the end of the day of boating. Couldn't find out how it was coming in and it drove us nuts for awhile! Then a mechanic at our marina found that water was coming in with the speedometer pick up tube and accumulating in the bilge. Replaced the tube..... problem solved!
