Looking at buying a 2012 2275 RL. With a 115 Merc. 32" tubes w/lifting strakes and 132 hours. Just wondering if it's enough motor, if merc is ok etc. any help would be awesome

Depends on what you plan to do with it. Heavy water sports, no. Cruising, yes.

Mine is a 2011 and max speed was mid 20's I upgraded to a 150 and runs mid to high 30's. I like the power difference but its about you and what you are looking for.

You'd be fine for the cruising, and you got just enough power with the lifting strakes for tubing.  However, I think you will be running WOT doing so.  A 150 would certainly give you better flexibility for those times when you want to tube, do other water sports, or need to outrun bad weather.

But for cruising, you'd be good.  Is the 115 Merc a 2 or 4 stroke?

We have a 150 on ours which is perfect.

2 tube or 3 tube?!?

Ryan, I own a 2012 RL.  Mine was originally just 2 25" pontoons nd I could do about 28mph the first year, after a couple of years I could only do about 25 even after cleaning the toons.  I then decided to add the express toon package and my speed was then about 30.  You have the elliptical toons which is the fastest set up for wot.

Although I am a slow cruiser, 15mph, I still wish I had bought the 150.  I don't tow inflatables or anything but occasionally I get a late start for happy hour and wish I could hurry.  I bought the 115 based on my dealers advice although I now think he was afraid the extra $6,000  might blow his sale.  I wrote an article on the biggest bang for the buck see it here;

If the boat you are looking at comes with the 115 already on it I would just buy it and be happy.  If you have the option of placing a 150 on it by all means do it

I think you'll find the Mercury to be a very nice engine. Good luck and post some pictures of your new baby.

Thank you all that have responded I will be going to Oklahoma tomorrow to check her out. We will see what happens

Hope it turns out well.

Another question is this boat does not have a ski pylon. Are the ski harnesses ok for the occasional tube outing

Can't speak from personal experience but I think you should be able to without a problem.
