The boat is a 2015 2275 GCW SPS tri-toon with Wave Shield. Any tips on how to get a cable from the motor to under the helm console or vice versa would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure how to do it but I know it can be done as my dealer had to replace a broken wire on mine when it was new.

Wave shield is the cheap deflector, right? I think that's what I have and you can reach around it on every side. If it's what I think it is, you shouldn't have much trouble.

I ran a line for my anchor from the batteries to the helm. Remove the wave shield, run all the wires you need and put it back on. If I remember right, they are 3/8 bolts with nylock nuts. note that I said run all the wires you need, I removed the wave shield a second time to run wires for my rear "mood lights".

Note the position of the 2 or 3 pieces of angle behind the shield. They are in place to deflect water from entering holes in floor where cables and wiring go to console, battery compt, etc.....

You're very lucky. My waveshield was riveted on so I didn't remove them when I ran a new transducer cable. I ran it around inside the edge molding, then snaked and pulled it across underneath the helm area. It was a pain to do, but it was also on a lift at the time.

Maybe he is talking about the skirting, that is bolted on and would give you access above the toons....I think as there is an inner one too.

I've done it twice, most recently from fuel gage send unit to dash.

I have an electricians fish tape and a long piece of 14ga ground wire removed from a romex scrap.

I can fish a wire about anywhere.

I just ran two transducer cables on my SSX SPS. I used an electrical fishing tape from the engine pod over the right toon to the outside behind the rub rail. I used plastic wire clamp and stainless wood screws to secure the cables to the underside of the beck. Fishing up through the floor under the helm was the easy part.
