When I purchased my 2012 2275 GCW with a Yamaha 150 I had order the 54" ski pylon. I was told that the 46" ski pylon is what I should have so they ordered that one. I just put it in and it looks like it is shorter than the motor (boat is not in water). Is this the wrong height? I do not want the rope rubbing the top of the engine. Does anyone else out there have this setup?

It should be fine, it says the taller one is for the bigger engines(V8's) since they are taller. That's what I'm hoping since I also ordered the 46" with a 200hp!

My dealer ordered me a 54" pole because he never rigged a optimax pro xs on a bennington and thought bigger the better. He gave it to me for the price of the 46.

haven't had any issues with towing anyone
