I got my boat out the first time yesterday and got lucky and found it before doing any damage. When the trim is all the way down the plaining plate will rub are come in contact with the v on the back of the motor pod. I was able to trim out about 1/2" and keep it from hitting.

i emailed my dealer with some pictures and have done received a reply. He said this has happened before and the fix was to remove a small amount of metal off the back of the motor pod.

The way I found it was that it looked close so I trimed it down and had the wife turn it slowly right and left.

Glad you caught it before any damage was done.

Might be an adjustment on the trim limit switch. I can't believe that trimming the metal away is the way to go.

I would really think there's an adjustment to limit the motion as needed.???
