Not sure if anyone has changed or has broken hinges but thought I'd share some research. Our rear swim ladder cover had a bad hinge I'm guessing from using the cover as a hand hold which applies downward pressure on the hinges which bends them and they eventually break. I finally found a Sea Dog brand hinge that fits the recessed opening however the hole pattern is slightly different. The new hinges have the same triangular bolt hole pattern but the two rear holes are moved closer to the pivot point I'm guessing to add strength to the hinge. When installing these you'll need to drill two new holes for each side of the hinge, original holes are covered by the new hinge so factory look is maintained. Here's some photos of original vs new hinge, note the slight difference in the hole pattern.
