Best way to Waterproof the Mooring Cover?

I've heard it recommended to use 303 (or similar product) to waterproof the mooring cover. Just curious for those that have what is the best way to do this? Other people recommended to use a pump sprayer and that sounds like a good idea but do you drape the cover over something and spray it? Did you just lay it out on the lawn and spray it? I thought about setting it up over some of my garbage cans and spray it but I have a 26 ft boat so lots of cover to fight with. Any suggestions on how best to do it would be appreciated. Do not spray it while it is on your boat .

303 fabric guard cover application...

Do you apply this while the boat is covered? That seems like the easiest way to do it but I wasn’t sure if there was a risk of it leaking through to the seats before cured? What’s the best way to apply this to the morning cover and Bimini? Thanks!

Just spread it out on the lawn. Best to do it when the temperature is over 70 degrees, and in full sun so it cures faster.
