I bought a brand new 22slx that had a Garmin Echo 101 already installed. I bought the toon off the showrrom floor, not custom ordered. I'd like to change the out the Garmin for a color finder like the 303c or something that will fit the dash hole (maybe someone here has one to sell), but I'm not sure how I'd go about removing the installed one. It's flush mounted to the dashboard and I can't fit under the helm. Does the unit itself come apart? Any help would appreciated.

The Echo 101 is held in place with long screws and wing nuts in the back which would lead me to believe that the wings must be removed from behind.  If you look in the upper left of this photo you can see how the unit is mounted.

NY Hawk mine came with the echo100 but Point breeze replaced it with a Garmin 531.  I wanted a flush mount in the dash and they cut the helm and did it.  Was a little pricy but would do it again
