I think jack m mentioned that he uses mother's marine wax on the engine cover and side panels. Is there something I should use first to clean the water marks off as well as any dirt. Thanks in advance, you guys are awesome!

Get some boat soap and give it a bath.

I use babes boat care products. Their spot remover is magic.

I use a spray bottle with white vinegar and water. Works great and is dirt cheap.

I use straight vinegar ( spray bottle ) , rinse right away with clean water ,let dry then wax

So you mix the vinegar and water? What ratio?
Doesn't matter too much as it's enviro friendly. I usually go 50/50 or less and it does the trick.

I use 50/50 vinegar/water for light water spots and the floor. The hard baked on waterspots on the motor cover is where I use Babes.

I also use vin/water on my stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.

I've been using this on my side panels as well as my seats.  It's biodegradable so I don't feel bad about it going in my lake.
