Does anyone know who makes the curved bow bimini or rearward arched tops for Bennington ? I know tumacs supplies biminis but i do not see the curved bow option. I need to replace my entire frame and canvas after the front supports blew out and ripped up my canvas and twisted up the frame, and i like the curved look better. Thanks Chris

I am not sure on who makes the actual frames. Potentially that might be “made” in house. Hopefully someone else knows and replies so you can look into it. You could also talk with your purchase dealership about the idea of switching (do you originally have just the base line straight style bimini now?) to gain insights into it even if you were not thinking of going through them for it.

Something to check into first: I think the frame attachment points are different between a normal straight bimini and the curved bimini’s. Maybe someone else knows 100%. My understanding is it’s something to choose initially because it would not be possible, or would require modification of railings and attachment points, if one wanted to switch later.

I went to the Bennington Boat build site to try to snag some screenshots of what I am talking about on a normal L23 swingback boat build. Below are my screen shots of standard default manual bimini and upgraded manual curved bimini. Look at the spots where it attaches to the boat in regards to what I am trying to flag for you above:

Electric curved bimini is a different attachment yet. Anyway, switching after manufacturer may not be a straightforward option.

Thanks for all your input, i think what is deceiving about those 2 pics are that one seems to be much shorter in length than the other, the curved bow bimini doesnt look anywhere near 10' long more like 7, whereas the straight frame could possibly be 10', hence different attachment points on the fence. my guess is if anything the central point wouldnt move but maybe the forward and rearward support mounts might, which i would be willing to do if need be, the dealer wants a small fortune, i was looking to see if i could find a supplier that sells to the public, i think the curved bows are popular but hard to find anyone who makes them.

One, hopefully others members will have insight for you on manufacture. It will be interesting what you find and what’s out there. And….hopefully I am wrong on attachment points. I am not sure, and it’s simply a concern that popped into my head “just in case”. Sounds like you are DIY confident/skilled, so that goes a long way in opening up options to you.
