Direct Fill Fuel Tank vs Transom Fuel tank

Built a 2020 23 RCW SPS w/Transom Fuel 23G/R CW. It gave me the option to choose Direct Fill Fuel Tank vs SPS w/Transom Fuel 23G/R CW.

Whats the difference between these fuel tanks?

I did get an answer. Direct fuel fill tank fills on the port side of the boat. Transom fuel fills on the floor in the back directly into the tank. We ordered the boat with the fuel fill on the port side.

Wow. Is that the ONLY way to fill it? Yikes. It reminds me of when you had to push down your spring loaded license plate, which was just about under your rear bumper, to fill your car. And that system seems better! I thought the direct fill was what I call the GO KART type where you can see the back of the plastic gas tank just in front of the engine and there's a little filler neck that comes up. Good job on ordering the Direct Fill!

.I did order the direct fill on mine
