Putting a minn kota electric motor on the bow. But unsure which one. Do you guys think a 80 pound thrust is big enough. 


I have the 24' dinette model. About 3000 pounds. Then calculations at mine kota say 80 is enough for up to 4000 pound boats.

Hey Mike; I know NOTHING about electric motors and what size you would need.


with that said here is what I have found out. Deciding what motor works for you is so subjective it's hard for many to answer. 


Example.


depending of wind and current, do you have a Bimini up or down, how long do you plan on having it turned on for. How fast are you going to have it when in use? How much battery power are you going to throw at it 12v or 24v or 48v And on and on. 


I would love to find someone that came up with a chart that can give us all a good idea what electric motors would be suited for each specific bennington. 


I would love to have a electric motor for my 2575 QCW. Just somthing to push the boat down river going a few miles per hr
