Need some ideas to try and restore or just get a little color back on my faux wood gauge area of console. I have a 2014 pontoon and have tried meguiars products, rubbing compound, waxes, etc. Nothing seems to last more than a few hours. Was thinking of trying some rubbing compound on a wet/dry sand paper to remove oxidation then some wax? Almost like trying to restore a pair of headlights on a car.

I will try any ideas. Thanks for suggestions or opinions.

Have you considered replacing it ? Great Lake Skipper carries " some " Bennington OEM parts . If they dont have it a dealer can order it .

I've never tried it but I think your approach is a good one, cut it down with 600, wet sand with 1000, 2000, etc. and put clear coat on it.

There are a rash of plastic restorers out there that might help a little even though most are snake oil.

Or pull the panel and send it off for hydro dipping?
