Fishfinders

This is are first pontoon. Was wondering where do you mount them on the console and what makes do people like?

I ordered a depth/fish finder as part of my build (just received my new pontoon yesterday).  It was mounted on the right side of the console and in a bit of an awkward place, i.e., sometimes the steering wheel blocks part of it.  I ordered a basic model (echo 100) which is fine with me but if you want a color version, you should probably upgrade to a more expensive model.  Again, the Garmin Echo 100 is fine for me and thus far, I am happy with the performance as both a fish finder and depth/water temp tool.

The most common brands are Garmin, Lowrance, and Humminbird. All are good, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. You can save quite a bit on the purchase price if you don't need a chartplotter combo and just want a fish finder.
