I have an E-TEC 115 on my (new to me) '08 2275 GL. I installed a quick flush kit on the engine, but something is preventing water from getting into the engine. Installation instructions says slide valve replaces "flush port plug". I'm very much a non-tech guy. Is the flush port plug something that a novice could remove?

Thanks very much for the feedback. I've attached hose to the flush port/telltale as instructed in manual and, although water pressure is very good, no water is coming out of lower end unit. Taking boat back to dealer for assistance. BTW, I've boated on Lake Anna and it is indeed beautiful.
