Friction Adjustment for Yamaha 150 throttle

seems a little stiff, used to easier control feel , is this common or can it be adjusted?

is it a Yamaha if so there is a little cover on the back bottom of the throttle base remove it to find a regular head screw that can b loosened or tightened as needed

Screw was tight originally, I loosened and it just spins, it can move over time, not feeling comfortable with this

That should do it, I adjusted mine a few times the first year. It's pretty stable now. It's on page 21 in my 150 Yamaha manual. Maybe yours is bad/stripped?? If yes, sounds like dealer time.
