Just got a 2023 RSBA I haven't even been on it but once, but my sister took it out the other day and went to fill it back up before docking. Put 7 gallons in and fuel started coming out the side at the pontoons. I called the dealer, and they said it had a 50-gallon tank but from what I saw online it has a 37 gallon with 35 capacities. They are still saying 50. so my fuel gauges all read 3/4 full they say they are going to have to recalibrate those. my sister said after filling 7 gallons with no problem it just started pour out the side down at the pontoons. they stopped filling and then started back, and it did it again. she said the digital gauge showed 34.8 gallons my thinking is they are wrong about the tank size and its actually 35 gallon and it's full then and overflows out the vent and releases at the pontoon instead of coming out the filler cap. Does anyone have any information? They said at the dealer that that isn't normal for it to release at the pontoons there is no spillage in the boat or around the tank all clamps are on and tight. Am I just seeing a normal over fill problem Thanks

Yikes! I have never heard of gas overfilling or venting in that manner around the sides & pontoons. Agree with the the dealer on that. If it was actually fuel venting in that manner, something is wrong and needs to be addressed asap.

As for fuel tank size, does it say anything on your order/purchase paperwork? Also, it will say the tanks capacity on the actual fuel tank. I am not sure on access to it on your particular boat/layout. If you are able to poke around to get to the tank, it will be stamped into it for verification purposes.

I assume you have the ESP toons, and that tank is 50 gal, though actually 55 gallon per the stamp on mine. I have had the same issue with fuel leaking out somewhere and running along the floor and out the rear and side of the Benny and down the holes for the wiring harness (so it appears around the side of the toons). I noted this happens when it is really hot out, in which case I have to fill very slowly and stop often. And, I am getting used to using the old fashion "take a physical look" - I have had readings all over the place vs the actual in the tank - more often than not reasonably accurate, but sometimes I have to scratch me head. This past weekend we took a 50 mile run on a full tank (with 55 gallons, 50 per Simrad) - the Simrad said 10 left - I was like WOW, I did good with the MPG....the next morning it read 3 gallons...that made more sense!

With all that said, I have also seen posts where overflow line is installed at the wrong angle - notes I have compiled on this are attached.

Thanks so much and I will pass this on to the dealer when they attempt a repair
