Has anyone changed the stock yami fuel water filter to a spin on racor or moeller with a clear bowl on the bottom? Its more money but you can see if there is water or debris & drain it out without having to replace the filter. I would then replace the filter every year also!

My mechanic automatically replaces the water separator every year

My Mechanic (me) does it every year as well.

So you do it once a year, no matter how many hours you have logged? Suggested every 50 hours, so you are saying that you feel safe keeping it at the one year interval, even if you log 80 hours or more during that time? That's not a trick question. I'm just seeing what the norm is. I use 100% gas, so I don't really thing water in the gas is a huge concern.

You'll still get condensation in the tank with 100% gas, so water is definitely a concern. I do mine once a year, but my hours are very low, less than 50 per season, since I live on a small lake.

Once a year ( 53 hrs this year ) ,No Corn ,I also add .Mercury Quickare every time I add fuel .
