Fueling Issue

When I take my Bennington to the gas station to fuel up before launching, the nozzle
handle on the gas pump clicks off like the tank is full. I pull the nozzle out, and as soon as I do that gas comes gushing
at the gas cap. The fuel gauge says its only half full. You guys think the float for some reason is closing off and and any fuel
above the float is shooting out under pressure ?
Anybody else have this problem ?

I've had that problem before. The vent sounds like it's stuck. I used a long screw driver and popped it in and then filled up. Seems to get air locked for some reason.

yes just stick it in there right before you fuel. Also you might have to turn the gas handle, I filled with it at 9:00, because that was the direction of the fuel tank.

Sounds like a fuel vent issue, that some bump into and others do not. I hope Julianna’s idea works for you. If it resolves the problem please share it so others can see how it’s been corrected by others.

Welcome !There is a funnel that you can get from your Dealer (free) Bennington gives one out with all new Boats because of this issue.
