Good haul on the Detroit River

My buddy and my son played "Hooky" and made a quick trip to the Detroit river. Total of 26 caught and brought home the best 12.
Pan Fried and Baked. Baked was my favorite.

I've been on and in the river many times . We use to watch the Hydroplane races from Belle Isle .

Yes sir! Got to love the old Miss Budwiser back in the day!

We have these races up here now .
Its fun to watch ,but no where close to the same as the big boys .
Im curious if they will even be able to run it this year .
They usually start lowering the water level here right after the 4th of July .
