Helm with the big screen NAV

I believe that Bob from Snug Harbor Marina custom builds these

I want one!

Now that is something that should be standard issue on a 55k+ boat......

Would be nice but then it's a 58k+ boat........ ;)

Bob and Paul from Snug Harbor Marina in Ticonderoga, NY put in mine. Its called VESSEL VUE

I tend to look where I am driving rather than a screen. If I get lost on my 260 acre lake.....I'm an idiot and a bigger screen is not going to help!!! I could see other applications for fishing, bug waters, finding missing persons in sunken cars but you are right that it should be an option in a higher dollar boat.

We have 3300 acres and several bottom features. Occasionally we trailer to other lakes and then you know nothing. Bennington is way behind on this.
So what do you use now? If you are traveling to all these other lakes do you use a 7" or 9" full 3d downview imagery unit? I'm on a small lake, so really don't have a need for it. That being said, would I have got it if it was an option, possibly, because it's neat. Most probably don't need that big of a unit, which is obvious since a lot of people don't even want to spend the extra $ to get the upgraded color model. The nice thing is both Bennington and I guess Snugs are willing to do custom, so if ya got the cash, you can get the dash! :D

So with all that being said, I think it is a little unfair to say Bennington is "way behind" . Order a new boat and pay the extra $4G to have the fancy fish finder, I'm sure you can get it for $70G like the other boat. What boat do you have right now? Is it time for an upgrade? Would it also be for fishing, or just navigation?
