In the process of building my toon online.  I like the dark teak look for flooring. Need help deciding between the vinyl or woven teak. Not sure I'm using the proper names for these. What are the pros and cons.  I want it to look nice and be basically maintenance free.

Thanks.

I have the nutmeg aqua teak on mine and I love it. It appears they offer some aged teak now. The darker you go, the hotter it will be on your feet. I take it you are in MI? What model are you looking at? We're pretty good at spending others money if you want some additional opinions. Some of us are on our 2nd or 3rd bennington.

I have the Aqua Teak Nutmeg as well. It gets very hot here in the summer and this flooring is a scorcher on the feet. One of our friends also bought a new Benny and his has the Sea Grass which seems to be noticeably cooler.

I have no problem with my carpet ,I do treat it with 303 every year though

I also have the carpet.  I prefer the look of seagrass I find no problems with the carpet, we even had wine spills on it and it cleaned right up

Mark , do you also treat it with the 303  ?

Any problem keeping it clean? This is also a big concern of mine as I already have a boat with carpet & it's a nightmare.
We love our Seagrass. I just hose it down once in a while, then shop vac the water up and leave the cover off for the day to help it dry. We don't fish and have never had an issue with staining or cleaning. Our concerns that our lab would snag the weave have been unfounded, so far so good (3 years).

I am trying to order a new boat with the full floor aged aqua teak vinyl  with the snap in sea grass. Dealer hasn't heard from Bennington yet, but he thinks its possible to do. I have the snap in sea grass now and like it, but like the look of the teak vinyl.

I've got the full seagrass flooring on my Benny.  I didn't get a chance to use the boat in the heat of the summer because of the late October delivery date but when I walked on the boats on the lot in the middle of summer, the seagrass was very comfortable.  Warm, but certainly not hot.  For info, Havasu is typically 115-120 (I've seen it 126) in the summer.

Reading thru the forums it seams that "sea grass" is very popular. That actually wasn't one of my choices but I may have to reconsider. My wife really likes the teak looking flooring. Need to do more research. This is what is holding us back.

Make sure and look at it in person.  When I first saw pictures of it online, it didn't really appeal to me much.  When I physically saw it and had a chance to really evaluate it, I loved it.  I'm very happy I went that route.  Something to think about.

Mark , do you also treat it with the 303  ?
Truthfully I don't.  I was worried about it becoming slippery so I didn't.  Have no stains on it

Mine has no slip at all ,Sand Palm

Maybe I will try it this Spring then

We have full seagrass flooring and it's very nice on the feet and really doesn't seem to get that hot in the summer sun.  We had carpet and it was worse than the seagrass as far as heat on your feet goes.  Really love the ease of cleanup should you spill something.....crack out the hose and rinse it out the back.

A little closer look at the weave pattern....it's actually more of a solid sealed material than an actual woven flooring but still looks and functions very nice.

We have the Aqua Teak Nutmeg full vinyl flooring on our 2016 Benny 21 SLX and even though we are in Florida do not find it gets hot. We love it, and the classic look it brings to our boat! It is virtually maintenance free, stands up well to our grandkids spilling things. We wipe it down periodically with a damp cloth, and have hosed it off once. The Teak vinyl has a very evenly textured surface that does not trap dirt, yet is very slip resistant! If the Teak is the look you like, then go for it! It's your boat and your bucks.

We even have a black Bimini top, which worried us initially, yet we have found out that testing has found no perceivable difference in temperature under a dark Bimini compared to a light one. Let's be honest here, when the sun beats down on anything vinyl, it gets hot. Our boat has the light interior, and those seats not in the shade feel hot when you first sit on them.
