How did you celebrate new boat

I will take possession of my new 2275 GL SPS 200hp Yamaha on June 17th. I thought a fun topic would be how did you celebrate launching of your new boat other than putting it on the water! Did you have a party, special food, drink or any thing else and who did you share the experience with.  I am getting a bottle of very good champagne  for the maiden voyage.

I boated with several of my good friends and family during the first 10 hours. Priceless.

We took our son and his family on a nice long cruise, and stopped a a great restaurant downriver for a very good lunch.

Had the in-laws over for both boat launches. After I took possession at the ramp I would motor over to our dock and pick everyone up!

Took a half day off work to meet the delivery guy alone at the ramp.  Took possession and spent the next 90 minutes circling the lake in the rain, and eventually had to stop when I was shivering too hard.  Then I parked it on the lift for the next 5 days because the rain would not stop.

I spent the break in period slow cruising by myself getting aclimated to my favorite purchase, ever.

The little wife and I took it out and slow cruised through the break in period. It's tough going 2000 RPM for an hour! But we drank a little wine while cruising that slow. Helped us be patient. Ok, it helped ME be patient.
