How much will Bennington really cover under their 10yr warranty?

Recently purchased a 2018 R23. I submitted the warranty transfer at a local dealer, but they were pretty clueless about what Bennington would cover. The motor on the boat is great, but the bimini/zipper is coming apart. The stereo, some speakers, the horn, some of the lights, the gas gauge, and the trim gauge do not work. Reading the verbiage on their website it seems all that would be covered, but are these realistic expectations? And if they do cover, from what I read online, it would take months for them to receive the replacement parts.

Also the cushions and table are heavily faded, even though the pontoon was supposedly always covered and came with the cover. Fading is covered unless it wasn't properly covered.

Here is a link to the complete warranty statement. There a download link near the bottom.
The warranty changes after the original owner.

Ironically, it would seem the warranty for 2nd owners is better on the older boats!

Current:
To the extent that the original end consumer transfers this warranty to a second end consumer, that second end consumer shall only receive the benefits under this warranty for a maximum of five (5) years after the original end consumer’s original purchase warranty registration date. An end-consumer, under the applicable laws, includes and only includes a buyer (other than for purposes ofresale) of POLARIS BOATS who will use the boat; any person to whom such product is transferred during the duration of theapplicable warranty; and any other person who is entitled by the terms of such warranty or under applicable law to enforce ag

2018:
For BENNINGTON boats that are used for non-commercial purposes, the above limited warranties may be transferred once by the original purchaser during the term of the original warranty. Once transferred, the subsequent purchaser will be covered by any remaining terms left on the original warranty, with lifetime coverages capped at 10 years. The original term of the warranty will not be extended. The warranty transfer must be completed through an authorized Bennington dealer for the warranty to transfer to the subsequent purchaser.

Will hear from the dealer this week and find out..

Hopefully you got a good deal on that 2018. Sure sounds like there are a lot of issues with it. How well the warranty works is also a little bit dependent on the dealer submitting the request. A determination has to be made as to whether an issue was abuse/neglect or natural/manufacturer. That determination runs through the service department doing the warranty claim. In leu of being able to decide definitively, one can bump into warranty denials. Report back how your issues are addressed since you bought it with them.
