How to best convert Sunstream hydraulic lift from V-hull to work with 2013 22Sl pontoon boat

I purchased a well maintained 2013 22SL with a Yamaha 70hp outboard. I also purchased a used Sunstream hydraulic boat lift that is rated at 6,000 lbs. I need to reconfigure the lift to work with my pontoon boat. Sunstream sells a conversion kit but it's almost $5,000. Looking for less pricey options. I have an email into Bennington to get their feedback on lifting the pontoon boat from the underside of the deck, or if a pontoon bunk is the only recommended lifting option. Was hoping that there are others who have already solved this issue and might have some feedback/wisdom they can share.

I have plenty of water depth, so that's not a limitation.
