Heading home and Wednesday will be warmer in Mackinac than in Lake Norman. Just my luck.

Back in Lake Norman. Had a great time in Michigan. Thanks for all the updates and information.

It’s 49 and raining here. I see it is 54 in Mackinaw. At least it will be in the low 70s this weekend here, not so there. My pool is warmer than the air here in mid-May. At least it didn’t freeze over this winter.

In the rare event I make them myself, I cheat and use the pre-made pie crusts from the store. Saves a bunch of time. The place in Cadillac is Mr. Foisies. We buy them by the dozen and keep them in the freezer. They are OK, but not as good as those made by actual Yoopers. For me, if there's not a visible chunk of rutabaga in every bite, it's just not authentic.

And... of course we must discuss this..... Gravy or catsup? ;-)

While I still haven’t had one, I would vote for gravy. Ketchup is only good for French fries, occasionally.
