Interesting safety net on ski / tow bar

I noticed this fabric / netting at the boat show on a South Bay pontoon. They claim it is additional protection to keep kids away from the motor. Having two grandkids, I am wondering if it would be a good idea?
It would also be nice if something like this could deflect some of the motor sound but probably not feasible.

Don't expect any reduction in sound from that one, maybe there is something more substantial? Also, that one appears to be secured with ball ties. Those certainly have some usefulness, just don't expect too much from them.

I’d think you’d also have to remove it when trimming the engine up.

Interesting product - I would hate not being able to see the engine and its immediate surroundings though. I would prefer a some cross members that match the side gates.
