The boys could not wait any longer. The water surface temperature on Dale Hollow was 65 degrees and the air about 80 degrees. They went swimming then tubbing for a couple of hours. They did have a blast but just watching got me cold. It was a beatiful day on the lake.

Nice

Love Dale Hollow, We put in at Holly Creek Marina. 2 hour drive from home and worth it. We live 10 minutes from Old Hickory Lake but you cant see your prop! Wont be long before we make the drive, watch for us we will be the ones with the happy German Shepard looking over the front fence :D

Nice weekend, I'm over at lake Cumberland. Water temp about the same 65 degrees. It was a great weekend. i didn't in the water except when I pull the boat in. I stepped in the water. To cold for me to get in. But I did enjoy the ride.

How was the debris in the water last weekend.

Not much debris at all. There were a few floating small branches up in the coves but main channel was clear. We are very lucky only live 15 minutes from dock. With the boat docked at the marina it gives us a lot of oppertunity during the week to enjoy the lake. If it were up to me I would live on the water.

I do believe Dale Hollow is the most debris free lake I have been on. Every know and then you see something very small.

I have been scuba diving in about every lake in and around Tennessee and Dale Hollow is the cleanest and clearest I have been in. The only time we really see a lot of debris is in the fall when the lake is dropping.I guess it pulls everything from the bank as it goes down. This was a major factor in where I bought my house.

Out on Dale Hollow yesterday. Water temp read 75 but still to cold for this old man to go in. The Grandkids were tubing like it was July.

We went out Saturday. I could not beleive the water temp came up 10 degrees. I actually went swimming. After the initial shock it felt good in the hot sun. It was a beatiful day on the lake.

These Saturday birthday parties and Weddings are taking a toll on my boating :( Looking forward to coming up memorial day weekend though.  :D

I know KC24.  We talk about that up at the lake with our neighbors all the time.  We don't want invites on weekends in the summer  :)

If everyone had a boat this  would not be an issue!
A few of our friends got boats after we did.  Others want to get one (and will eventually).  The problems of conflicts slowly fix themselves when everyone has boats.
