I found this on a website
Symptoms of outboard mounted too high:
Prop blowing out while turning
Propeller tends to ventilate
Less drag & low water pressure
Lacking thrust
Motor overheat & internal damage
Too much noise from the motor
Here is a pic I had when we were sitting at the dock. I am not sure what the trim was at. But it certainly seems like the cavitation plate is not at the bottom of the center toon
Here is how to measure the shaft length. Also, I had mentioned before but not sure I saw an answer, what tube set up do you have? The 23 RSB per Bennington's website will show either a twin 25" tube set up or the twin 32" elip that will be set up will be a 20" shaft. Any of the 3 tube configurations (ESP, SPS, etc) will be set up for a 25" shaftI took this measurement. I'll get more tomorrow when it's in the water. Is this a 20" or a 25" the motor was mounted on the lowest bolt.
