Mercury Re-Power Questions 350hp -450hp

I own a 2021 QSB25 with Mercury Verado 350.
Yellow Coast Guard sticker has me rated at 450hp.

Anyone with comments going from a 350-450hp?

done a re-power to the new V8 400hp or 450R?

heard any whispers of a Verado 450hp?

love my boat, would love her even more with an imaginary 450 Verado on the back!

I want that imaginary 450 Verado on mine! My poor SPS hull could never handle it, but a man can dream.

The trick when upgrading motors is it often can mean having to update harnesses, digital controls/throttles, etc. Even within the same motor manufacturer depending on motor model, year, updates, etc… It can get very expensive. If I am remembering correctly, another of our moderators, Jack, looked into repowering one of his former Bennington’s and it wasn’t cost effective. If I am correct, he can share details better about it.
